May 16th 2007 1:15PM – The 60th Annual Cannes Film Festival will officially open. By that time, Emma Watson, Michelle Yeoh, Wong Kar-Wai and others will be dressed to appear on the red carpet. The scenery will certainly be an eye-opener.

Director Wong Kar-Wai's first English title "My Blueberry Nights" will debut starring Jude Law, Rachel Weisz and Natalie Portman. Media from all over the world have converged to cover this initial festival appearance with Wong Kar-Wai as the hottest young director.

At 2:30PM, President Stephen Frears, along with other panel judges will declare the 60th Cannes Festival to be officially open. The Red Carpet ceremony will take place at 7:15PM at the Film Palace Theatre Lumiere.

Cannes has become an increasingly popular film festival to the Chinese and the nation has sent its best. During the evening, 9PM "Tripod" starring Hong Lei as one of the mainland has taken the lead male actor role. Also in attendance are Johnnie, Ringo, Tsui Hark, Louis Koo, and Simon.

10:00AM - Wong Kar Wai's "My Blueberry Nights" opens at Cannes Film Festival (Beijing time 16:00)

12:30PM – Global press conference for "My Blueberry Nights" (Beijing time 20:30)

2:30PM – 60th Cannes Film Festival opening during news conference, introduction of judges. (Beijing time 20:30)

7:15PM – Film Festival opening ceremony, the stars walk the red carpet (Beijing time 1:15)

11:30PM – Wong Kar-Wai's premiere screening of "My Blueberry Night" (Beijing time 5:30)
